My Office/Desk/Workspace...

So a my very good friend Brandie Kajino sent me an email with a link for a "Desk Challenge" from Ariane Benefit. She told me that she submitted her desk as part of the challenge. When I went to Ariane's website and saw Monica Ricci and a many other BEAUTIFUL work spaces... I thought "NOT IN A MILLION YEARS DOLLY LEVI..." (sorry.. big Hello Dolly fan when I was a kid...) would I send in my desk!

After a few days of thinking about it, I thought... why not? There are probably a million other people in the same situation as me... limited workspace, no "official" office, kids that have taken over the house and so on... So here it goes... my "Workspace/Desk/Office..."

This first picture is of our actual desk. It's where we do most of our personal business. This sits along side of our kitchen table/living room.
This next picture is of where I actually do my work. In the playroom. I have a laptop (with wireless) so I am able to have the freedom to move about the house when I ever I need to. This of course is just on the other side of the kitchen, where the kitchen counter works as my desk. I am also a scrapbooker so this is where I do all my creative work. The table just below my laptop is where I store all of my supplies. Are you laughing yet? Oh... P.S. See if you can spot the Tot Lock opener... in this picture....

The next two photos are of my "desk drawers." I know that sounds funny but this is my "supply space." Stationary, pens, pencils, pictures of my kids and the ever necessary Hot Wheels playing cards (had to confiscate those from a mischievous two year old...). Most of my files, resource materials are behind closed cabinets in my grandmothers hope chest... with small kids... you have to find those places where they don't get into things...

Well, there you have it. My workspace... I am a little embarrassed but keep telling myself that I don't need to be. The important thing is that I am using my space "ever cotton pickin' inch of it..." and I know where everything belongs. Everything has a home and nothing ever gets misplaced... except for those confiscated items... mom sometimes "forgets" where she put them.
