Leaders and Followers...

Okay - so I know it's been quite a while since I posted anything... apologies to all! I have been taking the time to enjoy my family and some sunshine (well not this week). It's been really nice but it's back to "our reality" as I like to tell my four year old when we have to get down to business.

I have catching up on a lot of reading, mostly Jack Canfield's The Success Principles, but also some newsletters and there seems to be a common theme...

Leadership.

I have found through the years that I tend to lean towards the leadership role versus the follower role. I find that I like the control and ability to make decisions quickly. I am not a wishy-washer (or at least I like to think that I don't do that). Sam Geist, who I have referred to before had a quote in a recent newsletter or Quick Bites that I want to share with you...

"The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you."

--Max DePree

I love that! It's so clear to me that we all define our leadership skills each and every day. Do we live in reality or have we taken the time to define our reality? Do we appreciate those around us? Two simple ideas that can define what we are all about.

I love what I do and who I am. I wouldn't have my life any other way. Ups and Downs, good and bad, successes and failures have all boiled down to ... ME!

As a wise man that I know once said... "It's all Good!"
