Stop and Smell the Roses.... What does that mean?

Today I had every intentions to stop the "go-go-go" action of my every day life and maybe sit and do nothing. For me that is near impossible. I always think I can do it, but it never works out that way

Is that really possible? Can we really stop and DO NOTHING? So often I think my best days are the days that I plan on doing nothing, and I seem to get so much done just because I have not planned on anything.

Today, I managed to get some yard work done, a few loads of laundry and I made a few cards. I often wonder if it's really about stopping or if it's really about not planning. I did do some searching on the web about "stop and smell the roses" and I was surprised what found... here are just a few facts:

- Did you know that Ringo Starr has an album that is called Stop and Smell the Roses?

- There are also probably over 100 blog posts on the "Stop and Smell the Roses" topic. The one that I found the funniest was one blogger said "... who ever said stop and smell the roses obviously didn't know about allergies..." that was kind of funny...

I would love it if I could PLAN one day a week to not PLAN anything! :)
