Packing Tips!
Although I am organized, I will still admit that packing is NO FUN... NO FUN AT ALL. Not to mention that trying to pack with two small kids is like swimming while carrying a 50lb. bar bell. Argh!
Here is what I am finding to be my best helpful tips to packing. If you have anything to share in this post I WOULD WELCOME THEM WITH OPEN EYES!
1. Get boxes. Check your local grocery or maybe a hardware or variety store to see when their freight day is and ask if you can come pick up boxes before crushing! By the way.. this is FREE!
2. Use Labels. Once a box is packed, label it. I recommend a blank label sheet cut into quarters. This way the label is large and you can list room and basic items.
3. Save the Newspaper. Great packing material!
4. One Space at a Time. Make a plan. If you have to sit down and make a list of rooms and what needs to be done (I have not done this yet and am realizing that it will make my life a whole lot easier).
5. Take a Break! Don't put too much pressure on yourself to get everything done today. Life still has to happen while this change is happening. Your life will be messy and chaotic, that's okay. Understanding that things will be like this TEMPORARILY will make things a little easier to let go (and believe me... I am working on this one).
Please share what you know! I would love the advice!
