Resolutions or Solutions?

A new year brings new goals and a fresh start to get those things completed that maybe didn't get checked off the previous year. Believe me I have plenty of projects that have carried over into the new year. It's okay as long as I keep them on my list.

The next few weeks will bring many magazine covers advertising simple ways of getting organized. I have to laugh... because really it comes down to one thing: PROPER PLANNING.

Real Simple had a great article last January on planning out your January so that you can get those smaller tasks completed and get the patterns. Better Homes and Gardens is featuring an entire issue on getting organized. I have yet to pick up one magazine in the last month that doesn't talk about ORGANIZING.

What are your goals? What is that one thing you want to accomplish this year?

Instead of planning on that room you want to organize or maybe that journal you want to start... break down the task and PLAN for how you are going to accomplish it.

1. Set Your Goal.
2. Create a Plan of Attack.
3. Set Goals.

It's really not a matter of saying "I am going to do ___" it's about creating that plan to make things happen. Then and only then will you start seeing results!

Happy New Year!

I finally got around to adding you to my blogroll

I love how you say "plan of ATTACK" - nice and aggressive, which appeals to me

Also love how you've jazzed up your blog! I have a blog to-do list (which doesn't actually even involve the posting) which is a page long, and remember everything is doubled because of the Take Charge blog!

Thanks Marcia! I always love hearing from you. You have been on a role! I really enjoyed catching up on all you have been up to!

Plan of attack... I have been really in that mode lately... It seems like to get the motivation going you DO really have to ATTACK the problem! Have a super year... I look forward to watching your business grow!
