Bathroom organization ideas...
So, as I have mentioned (like a million times) I have a new house. With a new house comes LOTS and LOTS of organizing and re-organizing. A very important fact is that....what once was practical may no longer be valid or even realistic. The bathroom is a very important room in our house... thankfully, we have one on each floor and each one serves it's purpose (if you have boys, you know what I am talking about).
When I started unpacking things, I realized that all the bathrooms were so much bigger than our old house, and there was TONS more storage.
The upstairs baths have a closet (which are HUGE) and all the under the counter storage spaces, while the downstairs has a much deeper under the sink space.
Here are some ideas and tips to think about when organizing a bathroom:
1. Examine your movement in the space. Seeing how you flow and move while getting ready is important to the placement of your stuff.
2. Accessibility. Putting things like medicine up high or towels down low is important to consider for those using the space.
3. Expiration Dates!!! When organizing, re-organizing or just cleaning things out... check the dates and toss old or outdated items. This is important to do regularly!!!
4. Commonly used items in multiple places. Things like band-aids, finger nail clippers and tweezers are just some commonly used items in our house. Having a set in each bath saves time - especially in the morning!
A bath can be a sanctuary for some. I do appreciate having my own master bath all for me (well, my hubby too...) and maybe someday, I will have a chandelier hanging over my tub too!
