FRIDAY FINDS: Desktop Organizer
Welcome to your Friday Finds... here I will share a new
product or service that I think is helpful, practical and a good use of
organization!!! Today's focus is the Desktop Organizer.
I did a post yesterday about my personal work space, and it got me thinking about my desktop organizer (left).
I see this as one of the most helpful tools on my desk. It holds files vertically (which is important), and has small storage for random, but useful items. My organizer is about seven or eight years old and I don't think Target carries this particular item any more, so I started searching online and here is what I found...
The one that came closest to mine is from Organize-It.
Like mine, it is made out of wood, and has vertical files along with some smaller storage. I like the fact that it's a compact size and won't take up half of the desktop work surface.
Wooden File Drawer
Retails: $39.99
For me, it's all about what it's made of and how much space it will use on the work surface. I am not partial to mesh and I don't like metal at all. Try to stay clear of horizontal files (horizontal equals hidden and vertical is visual). It also should never retail for more than $40.00. I did find a few bamboo organizers online, but they were a bit smaller and a little bit on the spendy side.
