8 things that simplify my life...
Today I spent my first official workday at home, no kids and most of all.. NO INTERUPTIONS. It was (and still is) a little weird to not have someone grabbing at my sleeve or asking me for a snack. I was even able to get out and take a walk for a whole hour all by myself. The snow is melting and the sun is shining in Hood River (it's cold, but who is complaining), LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!I was inspired by the idea of simplification this morning and I thought it might be fun to make my short list of things that simplify my life... To keep it interesting, I thought I would tag a few fellow bloggers to see what they can come up with.
MY LIST OF THINGS THAT SIMPLIFY MY LIFE
1. My Bathrobe - I don't have to dry myself off when I get out of the shower, I can multi-task while getting ready.
2. My digital camera - When I can't write it down, I will take a picture of it, not to mention I just love my camera, it makes me happy. Who doesn't love a digital camera?
3. My momAgenda - a DUH... this is a no brainer for me. It's has my planner, phone numbers, lists, lists, lists all go inside! One stop shop for me baby!
4. My Things To Do Folder - When I have an article, receipt, report or something to sign, I stuff it in here, not to get lost in the shuffle of my day and I can deal with it later.
5. Google - Doesn't Google make everyone's life easier? iGoogle, Google Reader, Gmail... the list is long and large. I love, love love them!
6. Netflix - Movies that come to me in the mail, what is not to love about that? With small kids, who can afford going out to a movie? By the way, if you use Netflix... let me know, we can be friends and share movies!
7.Fridge Grid Calendar - I just got my new calendar in the mail and i just love it! Keeps my family in line each week, which in turn, makes my life simplified!
8. My cell phone - I don't just use it for a phone, I keep pictures, music and I keep my mileage report on the calendar, which at year end... makes it easier to record!
So, now let's see what Marcia (Organising Queen), Jennifer (List Mama), Anne (SolutionsforYou, Inc.), Laura (Org Junkie), Brandie (Home Office Organizer), Allison (Right Brain Organizing), Krista (Organize in Style) and The Organizing Mommy (Organized Everyday) have to say... Link up ladies, there is always time for a little link love!

Ok, Meg here is my 8 things that simplify my life, the first I couldn’t live without!
1. My husband – he does so much for me to make my life easier. He is always asking, “What can I do to help”. How did I get so lucky? He does the dinner dishes every night, vacuums and mops the floors, takes care of all those pesky house repairs, he’s my web master and technical support, and all around go-to guy.
2. Computer – I can’t imagine life without it! To go back to paying bills with a check, or balancing my account manually terrifies me. Or not being able to Goggle when I want to find or research something—can’t fathom it!!
3. De’Longhi Rialto One-Touch Super Automatic Espresso Machine – Bye bye Starbucks—saved thousands of dollars last year!! Both my husband I were dailies at Starbucks, sometimes twice a day. That really adds up over a year. We decided Christmas of 2007 to buy one gift for both us—our De’Longhi Rialto. Now we can have Starbucks quality drinks anytime without leaving home!
4. Goggle – ditto
5. iPhone—it wasn’t love at first touch, but I finally can text with the best of them. Plus, how did I ever live without being able to read e-mails away from my computer? Total addict!
6. TiVo—this year’s Christmas gift. I love how I can with one click schedule to record my favorite shows for the entire season—how cool is that! However, I am watching more and more TV these days.
7. FreedomFiler filing system—love, love, love the easy retrieval of paper information and the rotating and removal features of this file system.
8. Lucy clothes—comfort, style, and fun all in one clothing line.
