MONTHLY BIO: "You Inspire Me" - Jill Hart of CWAHM

I haven't done a Monthly Bio in a really long time. I guess with the move and the holidays, I kind of forgot to keep up. No worries... back on track in '09! In my Monthly Bio: You Inspire Me articles, I really don't like to bog you down with a million questions... short and sweet... just like every blog post should be!

I am not sure if you have been keeping up with me, but I have been doing some feature writing on organizing for CWAHM.com (Christian Work at Home Mom), dedicated to us Working at Home Moms who happen to be Christians (even if you're not a Christian... you still might like to check it out). I love Jill's site, it's really motivating, and the focus of being a mom and working at home really resonates with me at this stage in my life. She is an amazing lady, and here you get a chance to meet her first hand!

Meet Jill Hart...

1. What do you do, and why do you do it?
I run a website for Christian Work at Home Moms, CWAHM.com. I started to website as a way to share my knowledge about working at home with other moms and to give them a safe place to research and find work at home careers.

2. What keeps you organized?
I have a fairly flexible schedule that I create each week based on what the coming week holds. I sit down and write out what I need to accomplish that week and then assign the tasks to different days. This keeps me organized, but doesn't stress me out.

3. How do you juggle both work and family?
This is difficult right now. With a 3 yr old at home with me, I have to be careful not to get too wrapped up in work that he feels left out ... and yet I have to find enough time to work that I don't get behind and overwhelmed. Right now what works for me is working in the early morning, a bit at lunch and then again after the kids are both in bed.

4. What one decision are you struggling with right now (personal, business or both)?
It seems like there is always one decision (or more) that I'm struggling with. Right now it's taxes. 2008 was a tough year for a lot of us and I'm working to determine what I'll owe, etc. Thank goodness for accountants - they definitely make life easier!

5. What is one piece of advice you have gotten that you can share?
One of the best pieces of advice that I was given when I first started my business was, "What you give to others comes back tenfold." It's such a great reminder that we need to think of others and not just ourselves - even in business.

6. What is your favorite gift to give and why?
My favorite gift to give is an unexpected one. Picking up a small toy for my kids or giving ads to someone I know needs them. It's so much fun to bless others!

7. Where and what do you see yourself doing in 10 years?
My kids will be 13 and 17 then - yikes! My 7 yr old daughter says that she is going to run CWAHM.com someday, so in 10 years I'll hopefully still be running an active website with the hope of "passing the baton" to her someday. My first book comes out this fall, so hopefully in 10 years I'll have a number of books on the shelves and will still be writing as well.

Thanks Jill you are really a great inspiration!
