Less stress = simplicity

I can think of a great reason to be organized in life. Less Stress.

Stress has a way of manifesting itself in our lives through so many channels... our organizational issues, tempers or eating habits. For me, stress tends to manifest itself as a terrible pain in my chest. We tend to carry stress through our life like an old suitcase we just can't part with, always there... but hides in a closet...

Don't even get me started on the worry. I worry about my kids being safe, about family health, bills and appointments, did I write that down... the list is long, but why do we worry?

No more for me ladies and gentleman...

A few weeks ago, I was reading in LJ's Simple Productivity Blog a post she wrote about 6 Reasons to Simplify Your Life and I have to say... she is right on the money. Clutter tends to restrict our life... causing us stress! It limits what we can do, how we respond and who we interact with.

I have been working on "my change" (yes, to see change, you need to work at it everyday) this year, to say yes to a little less. I am seeing results people... come join in on the fun!

The next thing on my list is gettin' rid of some of this stress and worry. Here are three things I intend to implement in my life to see if I can have a little less stress and do a little less worrying...

1. Exercise. I hate hate hate HATE exercising, but I know it really does improve the quality of life. I have been getting out a couple times a week to go for a walk (rain or shine) and it's been great. So add a little more and a little more will equal LESS STRESS!

2. Simplify. I don't think we can ever simplify tasks enough. I have a really bad habit of overplanning and anticipating every activity to the enth degree. NO MORE! I need simplicity my processes, in turn, it will equal LESS STRESS!

3. Breathe. I know this sounds silly, but sometimes taking a breath can make everything seem brighter. A quick way to clear our head before the pressure cooker blows.

I know it seems silly but to have a life filled with all the stuff I want... I have to get rid of all the "icky" stuff that drives me crazy!
